Halloween Festivities
I know it's not Halloween yet, but it's right around the corner. Last year we waited too late to get pumpkins. We drove around to 3 stores without any luck :( This year I was smart and bought them earlier. Since Justen was leaving for NYC today we decided to carve our pumpkins last night while we watched the final game of the World Series (sorry Rangers, better luck next year). It was lots of fun and I think they both turned out successful! I decided to do an easier one this year; considering I've had some trouble in the past.
Tonight Tanner and I went to the ward Halloween Party. Tanner was all decked out in his Pooh Bear costume! Here are a few snapshots of the little guy.
10 Months!
I know this is a little late, but last Saturday Tan Man turned 10 months! He is constantly amazing me with his desire to grow up. (I'm so not ready for him to be 1). I feel really lucky though; he is the best baby any mom could ask for. We just love our "Little Bear".

Cranial Doc band
A few months ago we noticed that one side of Tanner's head was flattening. After discussing this with the doctor we were referred to an office that deals with plagiocephaly. A few weeks later Tanner was fitted for a "helmet" or cranial doc band. Tanner has had his helmet for a month now and is so accustomed to it that it doesn't bother him. His head looks so much better already! He'll probably have it for a month or two more; depending on how his head does. We are so used to it by now that he looks funny without it on. And to top it off he got it just in time for football season! Everyone keeps telling us he looks like he's ready to hit the field!
9 Months!
Holy Cow! Our little baby is not a little baby any more. He's growing so fast and becoming more and more independent every day. We recently went in for his 9 month check-up. His stats are:
Weight: 20 lbs. 10 oz.
Height: 29 inches (that's a whole foot since birth; WOW!)
Head: 60% (i can't remember)
Tanner Can/Likes:
- sit up by himself
- eat foods of all varieties
- Loves paper; I kid you not, this kid loves to eat paper
- enjoys the stroller/ going for walks
- loves to read books (including the hymnbook; he stops whatever he is doing when he sees that book come out)
- is fascinated by little kids
- loves the bath
- can always give you a smile
We are head over heels in love with this cute boy! If you aren't yet; take a look at these adorable pictures!

Birthday Fun
Yep that's right... I'm another year older. That also means Tan is 1 month older. Last Thursday was pretty quiet, which I didn't mind. Justen, Tanner and I went over to some friend's for dinner and enjoyed a nice birthday celebration. On Friday Justen got a babysitter and we went out to dinner at my favorite, Le Chalet. Yummy, and we went to see Moneyball. We liked it, a little bit anticlimactic. The best part about my birthday were these bad boys.I was SUPER excited because I've been dying for a new washer and dryer. Thank you honey! I love them!
Till next year!

8 Months
It's hard to believe that this cute boy is already 8 months old! He is getting so big and becoming very independent. Tanner can officially sit up by himself and loves playing with his toys. He has discovered his voice and loves to "talk" as much as he can. Tanner is a baba machine. He loves his baba and will whine when he even sees his baba until you give it to him. Does a good job at feeding himself. He wants to hold the baba himself (secretly it's made me sad at nighttime when he wants to hold it and not me). Tanner is the sweetest kid and we love him to pieces!

4th of July
I know this is kinda late, but it's better than never. For the 4th we went to Las Vegas to visit my sister Cami and her family. Cami & Jake were blessing Bentley on Sunday, so Saturday afternoon we headed down to Vegas. Saturday evening we spent exploring Caesar's Palace and enjoying a nice dinner at Joe's. Sunday morning was the blessing; followed by a nice luncheon. Monday we ventured down to the strip again and wandered around for a bit before going to dinner at Outback Steakhouse. After a delicious meal and Tanner knocking Cami's water glass all over her we made our way to the Red Rock Casino for fireworks. The problem was we got stuck in traffic on the freeway and couldn't get off at the exit. The fireworks began going off and everyone on the freeway put their cars in park and got out and watched the fireworks. So we ended up having front row seats to the fireworks on the freeway. The best part was when it ended we just got back on the freeway and had minimal traffic. Thanks Cami & Jake for letting us be apart of Bentley's special day!
Everyone that came to the blessing.
Court's Family
Momma and her two girls and their two boys.
Bellagio gardens
Tanner did lots of this...
and this. He loved relaxing; drinkin' his baba.
