8 Months

It's hard to believe that this cute boy is already 8 months old!
He is getting so big and becoming very independent. Tanner can officially sit up by himself and loves playing with his toys. He has discovered his voice and loves to "talk" as much as he can. Tanner is a baba machine. He loves his baba and will whine when he even sees his baba until you give it to him. Does a good job at feeding himself. He wants to hold the baba himself (secretly it's made me sad at nighttime when he wants to hold it and not me). Tanner is the sweetest kid and we love him to pieces!

4th of July

I know this is kinda late, but it's better than never. For the 4th we went to Las Vegas to visit my sister Cami and her family. Cami & Jake were blessing Bentley on Sunday, so Saturday afternoon we headed down to Vegas. Saturday evening we spent exploring Caesar's Palace and enjoying a nice dinner at Joe's. Sunday morning was the blessing; followed by a nice luncheon. Monday we ventured down to the strip again and wandered around for a bit before going to dinner at Outback Steakhouse. After a delicious meal and Tanner knocking Cami's water glass all over her we made our way to the Red Rock Casino for fireworks. The problem was we got stuck in traffic on the freeway and couldn't get off at the exit. The fireworks began going off and everyone on the freeway put their cars in park and got out and watched the fireworks. So we ended up having front row seats to the fireworks on the freeway. The best part was when it ended we just got back on the freeway and had minimal traffic. Thanks Cami & Jake for letting us be apart of Bentley's special day!
Everyone that came to the blessing.

Justen's 1st Day of Rotations

Today is Justen's 1st Day of rotations. He is shadowing a family practice doctor for his first rotation. I had to get a picture of J before he left for his 1st day! Congratulations Honey! Hopefully these next two years will be exciting and full of lots of awesome opportunities.

6 Months

Little Tanner isn't so little anymore! Tanner is 18.1 lbs (80% percentile) and 27 inches long (86% percentile). WOW! I never thought that my little preemie baby would be so big! He is growing up so fast; and desiring to explore the world more and more each day. Tanner has started eating "grown-up" food and loves to be included in Mom & Dad's mealtime. Tanner still hates tummy time. No matter how much I work on it with him, he still buries his head in the blanket and screams. My hope is one day (soon); he'll realize that being on his tummy means he can become mobile. In the meantime I'll enjoy that he can't escape yet. Here are some pictures of the precious little guy! We love you Tan Man!

The one shot of him smiling during tummy time!

Backyard Transformation

When we moved into our house last September the backyard was a wasteland. Over the winter and through the spring it turned into a home for weeds. Since Tanner is a little bigger and will be soon wanting to explore the outdoors we decided to make the backyard a pleasant place to be/play. We didn't get the best before picture (the one with all the weeds), but this still gives you a good idea about how incredible our backyard looks now. Thank you Rolling Rock Co.; you did an excellent job!

That's Right... Daddy's Done with Boards!

After two LONG years of endless studying Justen is officially done with his exams! Can I get a Yahoo! Tanner and I are so proud of him and all his hard work. We are looking forward to seeing more of Daddy! Now on to 2 years of rotations! Should be a nice change of scenery.

Tanner's Blessing

Best picture of Tanner where he's not screaming.
We blessed Tanner on May 1st. He looked adorable in his little blessing outfit. However our little angel was far from an angel on his blessing day. We have church at 1; otherwise known as nap hour, and we had a cranky Tanner. Despite our difficulties in keeping Tanner quiet the day was great. Justen gave Tanner a beautiful blessing and we felt so privileged to have so many family and friends there. Thank you to everyone who came. Here are the few photos from Tanner's Day. Sorry if you were there and weren't captured in the photos.
